Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! I hope yours was just as great. I asked the kids what their favorite present was, Chase, said it was his air hogs helicopter. Belle was most excited about her own digital camera. Brooke was most excited about her new "baby" that is just like Belle's with a stroller that matches Belle's as well. I got steps for my car, which is really nice. I got Zach a painting set, he has wanted to paint for a long time and I hope he will get to try it out and maybe find a hobby he enjoys. I am extremely grateful for my savior and all the blessings he gives me everyday, regardless if I truly deserve them. I hope you all had a great Christmas and felt the true spirit of the season!

New family pictures

I love and hate to have new pictures done. I am always glad when we have them, but it's a pain getting the kids to cooperate and actually smile on Que. They turned out cute and I love the one with Zach and the girls!

Updates

Sorry, I have been a major slacker lately. So, here are a few updates on us. Chase made his first goal last night in his soccer game!! He is liking school and has plenty of friends. Belle is in kindergarten and she really likes school as well, (Although she is NOT a morning person at all) I have a hard time with her sometimes because she is so mean! And last but not least is Brooke, she is busy having fun and creating chaos. She loves messes and to tell me No. But, she is so dang cute it's hard to be mad. Zach is working a lot as usual and is getting ready for the hunt, keep your fingers crossed that he gets a deer:) I am busy keeping the kids clean, fed, homework done, etc... When I do find some time i have been sewing a little. So, here is Brooke modeling them off for you. Also, I am still working on Voyage Academy and trying with the rest of the board to get it approved! So, if you know of anyone interested in helping or potential teachers who would like a job there when it opens let us know. We are having fun and enjoying life as a family.

Princess Festival

Belle had the opportunity to attend the Princess festival with her Grandpa Rick and Grandma Marilyn this past Saturday. They called and invited her and cousin Bre to go with them. They brought up princess dresses to wear and away they went. They were able to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel and many more princesses and prince's. Also, captain hook and peter pan. Belle had a great time and Bre told us that it was "freakin awewome." This is something I know Belle will remember. They received a book that all the characters can sign and then they can get a picture with them as well. Belle, being so shy only took one with Cinderella and that was it. At one point her Uncle Derrick carried her because her feet were tired. Thanks Derrick:) Thank you Rick and Marilyn for such a special day!

Belle graduated!

Belle graduated preschool yesterday and is on her way to kindergarten. She is sooo excited to go to school, but is really sad she will not have Miss Monique as her teacher. Her teacher was great! Belle is serious and is very much a perfectionist, Miss Monique would tell me the funniest things. She told me that the kids were painting their names and that she would not stop until every tiny part was painted.

They all had parts of a Dr. suess book, each child had a different line. She was really nervous to say her line with all the parents there. So, I told her I would pay her 5 bucks if she could do it, and she did! (Who says bribing doesn't work) We went for her kindergarten test and she aced it. She is one bright little girl and I can't wait to see what she ends up doing with her life. She is just the best!

Chase and sports

This kids loves to play sports. He recently played soccer for the second time and really likes it. He is number three in the pics. He is a good little player when he wants to be. He has also played goalie and blocked a few good ones. But, his first love is Baseball, the kid has an arm. (do not play catch if you don't have a mitt:)) Baseball does run in the Hamblin side, so I am not too surprised. He really would like to play baseball and football on a team, so maybe soon he will be on a team.

Chase also just turned 7 and got a new baseball and bat, a basketball and some Harry potter legos. He really had a great b-day.

New family pet

We added a new pet to our house yesterday, a cute fuzzy little rabbit! The kids love her and named her Lily. So, if your bored and want to come and see her you can. I am planning on breeding her in the next few weeks or so and will have some cute tiny bunnies in a month or so. She is so mellow and lets the kids hold her.

The hunger games MOVIE!

Okay, Most of you won't care as much as I do about this, but I am way excited for this movie to come out. I don't read all that much but, this series was my favorite. If you haven't read it, DO. You will not be disappointed at all. I came across a post that shows who they have cast for the three main people. I am totally going to see this when it is in theaters, Zach just doesn't know it yet! I think you will have to copy and paste into your browser to pull it up.

Sick and sicker

Well we just can't get better at our house. Chase started off with shingles a few weeks ago and he is actually better now. But, Belle and Brooke just haven't been getting better, so, I took them to the Dr. last night. Turns out that Belle has a sinus infection and an ear infection and Brooke has RSV and a double ear infection. So, they are both on antibiotics and Brooke has to use the nubulizer for 4 days. Hopefully they will start to feel better soon, I could really use some sleep!

Belle LOVES you tube!

While looking at our blog Belle said that she liked the song that was playing, of course it was a Taylor Swift song. So, I pulled up you-tube and let her see the music video, she LOVED it. I was busy ironing a month long pile of clothes and she sat at the computer and clicked on all the different songs. Usually if i want music playing I have to go back and forth clicking on a new song. Finally, someone in this house appreciates Taylor as much as I do! Her favorite video is "You belong with me". She is definately growing up tooo fast.

I was talking to her about her school pictures and she told me she stood by her friend Exander. I told her that he was such a cute boy, and she said, "but I saw him first."

Happy Birthday to Belle!

Belle turned 5, (cannot believe she is 5). She had a fun birthday though, her grandparents and a few aunts,uncles, and cousins came over for cake and ice cream. On her birhtday she got to go out with the family to eat at a restaurant, and then on presidents day I took the kids to the classic fun center. So, she just had tons of fun turning 5. She is very excited to go to school with Chase this fall and cannot wait.

Thailand clothes for the kids

A woman that Zach works with has family in Thailand. She went to visit around Christmas and since Zach always works on her car she brought back all of us some cute clothes. I guess we will have to get a picture of Zach and I in our clothes too.
