Super-Baby

Chase is always asking for a brother. Well, today he just figured that he could dress Brooke up to play. They came out of his room and he had taped a super-man cape to Brooke's shirt and they were running and wrestling all over the place. If was really funny.

Our pictures

I am so grateful to have such a great husband and sweet little kids. We had a lot of fun having our pictures taken, (especially Chase) he's the little model of the family I guess. The picture of the tree was mine and Zach's place to go in high school to hang out and talk. All the memories we had there and now we have the pictures to remind us. Thanks Ashley for the great pictures!

My sweet girl

I had asked Belle to unload the dishwasher while I took a shower, I was 100% sure she wouldn't. Well, I checked on her after I got out and she had unloaded the dishwasher and was busy loading all the dirty ones. What a great kid I have!

Happy Halloween!

Our Halloween was fun, the kids dressed up and we met G-ma and G-pa Baldwin,Brandon and Holly and cousin Lacey at the mall. It was pretty crowded but, the kids still had fun. Little Brookie even liked it although, she spent most of her time eating suckers and trying to eat through the packaging on other treats. Zach had to work this year so that was a bummer, we missed him! By the time we got home Brooke was really hyper and looked like it too. Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!

The night before we carved our pumpkins. The kids did really great at it and liked it.

What would your NEIGHBORS do?

Yes, I said neighbors! For those of you who may not know my parent's home caught fire this past Sunday. They were out of town and although many of the neighbors know us kids not one had a telephone number. Do you want to know the chain that was finally made to let me know what was going on. Well, someone called one of the neighbors down the street, who knew that Wendy was married to their son. So, they called them, Wendy was at church and lives an hour away. So, they called their daughter who knows where we live. At 8:45 am she pounds on my door telling me that my parents newley renovated home was on fire. I freaked out, seriously. Zach was asleep up until me yelling to my kids to put shoes on and then they had to ask "why?" I just yelled, "Because grandma and grandpas house is on fire, now get your shoes on now!!" He was dressed before I even opened the door to tell him the news. What a good hubby I have.

So, when we arrived the whole garage was pretty much gone. Then I was told that my little brother was in fact pulled out of the home. (After the fire was put out!)They could not even enter the home when they arrived because of how much smoke was in the home. Neighbors told them that no one was home, until the next door neighbor came out and told them that Alex was in the home. He is rarely home and I broke down finding out he was in an ambulace. He and his girlfriend were in ambulances with smoke inhalation and very low blood pressure. Luckily they are alive.

The home is lost. They will have to completely gut the home and put it back together. They investigation into how the fire actually started is unknown/accidental.

I only posted this to let my family and friends know how important it is to let neighbors know when you will be gone and if people will be in your home. Leave phone numbers to other relatives that can be called in such an emergency. I hope that no one I know will ever have to go through anything like this. It is a very emotional and stressful time. Everyone is fine and that is all that really matters. My parents are okay and are doing well despite the situation. I will post some pics later if my parents are okay with it.

I love all of you and hope that you will remember it next time you leave town!

A Day at the Farm

My cousin Don, who is on my Dad's side owns a dairy farm up north of Logan. So, we asked if we could come and show the kids. We rode horses and four-wheelers, fed the calves and went into the milking building. We had so much fun, and Zach wants to go back and work there. We learned a little about the farm life and we both agreed that having a farm would be awesome, it's not just a job, it's more of a family job. It would be so great to live a slower pace of life and get back to a time where family was more important than anything else. If we could, we would go be farmers!!

Zach was giving the four-wheeler rides, here is Brooke, Belle and Chase.

Okay, up at the top we have my Nephew Hunter and a friend Kaya, then we have Chase and Kaya, then Chase and my Nephew Levi. Chase loved the horse and kept wanting more turns.

This is Laurie, she is my cousin Don's wife. We are so glad that they let us come up and see the farm.

My nephew Hunter up top and another nephew Levi and Belle on bottom.

My little nephew Brigham feeding the calves.
