Happy Birthday Brookie!

We celebrated Brooke's birthday today, her b-day isn't until the 29th. She has come a long way since she was born. I was thinking about the day she was born and how scary it was for us. She was early and we didn't know what to expect. She was in the NICU for a week and this is what she looked like then. I can still remember going to the 4th of July parade and trying to be happy for Chase and Belle's sake. All I could think about was Brooke laying in her little bed away from me and the family, not one of us holding or cuddling her like she needed to be. We had no idea what the next day would bring because she had a lot of setbacks, it seemed to get a lot worse before she was finally starting to get better. As you all know now she is perfect and is the cutest and spunkiest little thing ever. She says, Daddy, blankie, ma ma, bu bu, Hi, Bye bye, doggie. It may just be us that understands it but she does say them. Her favortie things are #1 Her daddy! Close second Mommy. She also loves Buzz lightyear, remote to the tv, my phone, popsicles, she also likes to tease Belle, She likes Chase quite a bit too.

Kids, kids and more kids

It's all about the kids, i guess because that is who I usually end of taking pics of. So, here are all the updates on them.
Turns out, Chase cannot see. So, our little guy got glasses yesterday. He looks really cute, except he is driving me nuts with them already. He cleans them constantley and never wants to take them off. The rule is he is not supposed to wear them outside. We will see how that works out.

Belle is going to start preschool this fall and is very excited. She is a smart little thing and I know she will love it.

Brooke is just the funniest baby ever. She is always copying the kids or us, if we cough she coughs back. She can wave hello and goodbye if she feels like it. I saw her with her leg propped up on the car seat while she was drinking her bottle and wanted to take a picture, so I got out the camera and when I went to snap it she took her bottle out of her mouth and smiled. It was perfect timing too. She is a lot of fun.

My Daddy and me

Since I rarely post about my guy, I thought I should post this way cute picture of Brookie just chillin out with her dad. She is always excited to see her daddy and to play with him, Dad is way cooler to play with than mom. He taught her how to make a car drive and make sounds while pushing it around. Now she always wants to take Chase's cars when he's playing, and is constantly taking off towards his room. If we loose her, we know where to look. (Not that I have ever lost her!!)

While Chase was sitting in timeout I had to leave for a few minutes. This is what I came back to.

Happy Easter

We decorated eggs for easter and of course the kids loved it. Except the monsters that we were building with hair and stickers did not Stick. Still fun but, the kids were a little disappointed.

Then on Friday we had to make bird houses. Apparently everything Chase sees on TV we must have. So, he saw a commercial for bird houses, thus we have made bird houses.
Any clue on how we can actually get a bird to come and live in one? Any suggestions would be great. My kids reminded me that Curious George has birds in his bird house. So, here I am being compared to a monkey! That's great. Hopefully I am smarter than one huh. I still can't believe Brooke slept while we made them, then woke up right after we were done. Amazing since she is the worlds best power napper.

Birthday Girl

Belle turned 4 yesterday. She picked out a pink cake with pink frosting and to top it all off she picked out yup, pink ice cream. She had a lot of fun and loved every present. We love you Belle!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY
FYI, Belle loves this song by Linkin Park. Her daddy sings it to her in the car and she sings it along with him. It's super cute!

So adorable and sad at the same time. She is growing up too fast. She is such a good baby and she LOVE'S her daddy. She is playing better with others now too. She has been really scared of other people holding her. In a calm situation she will let others hold her. We are so blessed to have her. Enjoy the pics.
